Learn how to give your garments a clean, professional finish! In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn several simple hemming techniques that can be used to shorten pants, skirts, dresses, and more. Perfect for new sewists, this class focuses on practical skills you can use again and again.
Students will learn how to measure and mark a hem, press for accuracy, and sew hems using both hand and machine techniques. We’ll also discuss which hemming method works best for different types of fabric and garments.
By the end of class, you’ll feel confident hemming your own clothing and making simple alterations at home.
