Knitting pattern for Rikke Beanie No 1 by Rikke Jönsson
Rikke Beanie No 1 is a timeless design with an elegant look, which will become an essential part of your winter wardrobe. The beanie comes in two sizes, depending on which needle size you choose. Working with needle size 3 mm / US 2.5 gives you a slightly smaller beanie while needle size 3,5 mm / US 4 results in a roomier fit.
You can knit the beanie in one strand Önling No 1, resulting in a soft and elegant beanie. Or, you can knit it in one strand Önling No 3, resulting in a warm and cozy beanie with beautiful texture.
If you prefer a more fluffy and voluminous beanie, you can add a strand of Önling No 10, our exquisite silk mohair, which will make the beanie ultra-soft, warm, and comfortable.
With its simple construction and soft quality, Rikke Beanie No 1 quickly becomes a favorite project – and an accessory you will return to season after season.

Procedure
The beanie is worked in the round from the bottom up. It begins with an Italian cast-on, followed by the folded rib edge and then the characteristic rib pattern. The crown is shaped with symmetrical decreases. The beanie is worked either on needle size 3 mm / US 2.5 for the small size or 3,5 mm / US 4 for the large size. The length can easily be adjusted as needed. The rib pattern is worked from chart or written instructions.
