HOMESEWN CLASS Magic Mending with a Mini Loom Workshop
Couldn't load pickup availability
Visible mending gives your well-loved garments a second life while creating unique embellishments! Please join local textile artist, Linda Ruggiero, for this hands-on, all-levels workshop, in which students will learn how to use a mini darning loom to repair holes and tears in their clothing, or to simply add adornments.
In this workshop you will be guided through the basics of loom weaving and will learn how to set up the darning loom, choose threads and yarns for your project, and create a woven patch. At the end of the workshop, the loom is yours to keep!
Students should bring a clean garment with a small hole or worn area (light weight fabrics work best for learning, but bring what you have, and we will test it out!). If you do not have a garment to mend, we will have practice fabrics for you to use to learn the technique, which you can apply later.
Audience: Adults
Sessions: One 3-hour session
Materials: Please bring a garment to mend
- All other supplies and materials are included.
