Welcome to Sewing Machine Mastery, an empowering four-week course designed exclusively for kids aged 6 to 16. In this exciting journey, young learners will embark on a focused exploration of sewing machine operation, starting from scratch and gradually gaining the skills to confidently use a sewing machine independently.
Throughout this course, children will be introduced to the ins and outs of sewing machines, learning everything from setup and threading to advanced stitching techniques. Our experienced instructors will guide them through each step, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
By the end of this four-week course, kids will have gained a comprehensive understanding of sewing machine operation and will be able to use the machine independently. They will have developed essential skills such as patience, precision, and problem-solving, all while nurturing their creativity and self-expression.

This is a flexible class pass - students may attend any combination of sessions marked RESERVE YOUR SPOT - Kids Machine Mastery, but must receive approval before moving into the Student Led Project Class Pass (some students will take more or less than 4 sessions). We appreciate your honoring this requirement, as this ensures both students and instructors are set up for maximum success from all sessions!
Please be sure to reserve a spot at least 24 hours in advance of your class time. Reservations can be made here, emailed to classes@shophomesewn.com, or call 610-744-1000 to reserve your spot. Spaces are limited, and fill up quickly. Cancellations, should they be necessary, can be granted ONLY IF homesewn is notified at least 24 hours in advance of the beginning of class, otherwise one class session will be forfeited.
If your child can operate a sewing machine independently, they are welcome to join our Student Led Project group here.
