Keep your hands warm while keeping your fingers free! In this cozy knitting class, you’ll learn how to knit a pair of fingerless mitts—the perfect accessory for chilly days.
You’ll practice knitting in the round while learning techniques for shaping and finishing your mitts. These make a great introduction to knitting small wearable projects and are also perfect for handmade holiday gifts!
Choose your favorite yarn color and create a pair that’s uniquely yours.
Sessions: Three 2-hour sessions
Audience: Basic knitting skills, including casting on, knitting, and purling, are recommended.
Materials:
- Print pattern here
- Yarn:
- 100 grams Worsted weight : Malabrigo Rios or Worsted, Urth Worsted, Cascade 220
- Needles:
- One 4.5 mm (US 7) 40" circular and one 5.0 mm (US 8) 40" circular needles for magic loop
- OR two circulars of each size
- OR 4-5 double-pointed needles of each size
- 2 stitch markers
- Approx 24 inches smooth waste yarn in a contrasting colour and lighter weight or Barber cords
- Tapestry needle
