Our LYS (Local Yarn Shop) tour attracts knitters from far and near for four days of fun, prizes and special patterns. In 2012 our lacy crocheted cowl, designed by Carol Lansinger, appealed to new and seasoned crocheters alike. The mind-bending magic of a moebius loop adds a clever twist to that simplest of stitches, single crochet.

Small cowl: Approx. 24"/61 cm around x 11"/28cm deep.

Small cowl: Shown lower right: 1 skein Rowan Kidsilk Haze (229 yds/210m), Color 597. Or approx. 229 yds/210m of an equivalent lace-weight mohair yarn.
Large cowl: Shown lower left: 2 skeins Rowan Kidsilk Haze (229 yds/210m each), Colors 659 and 600. Or shown lower center: 1 skein Rowan Kidsilk Haze Stripe (460 yds/420m), Color 357. Or approx. 458 yds/419m of an equivalent lace-weight mohair yarn.

NEEDLES
US L (8mm) crochet hook, or size to obtain gauge.

Approx. 10—11 sc = 4"/10cm, lightly blocked.

WORSTED-WEIGHT BLANKET
Finished Size: Approx. 29 x 29"/74 x 74cm.
Yarn: 8 skeins Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran (100 yds/90m each). Or approx. 800 yds/720m of an equivalent worsted-weight yarn.
Needles: US 8 (5mm) 24–29"/60–74cm circular needle.
Gauge: Approx. 17 sts = 4"/10cm in garter stitch.

CHUNKY-WEIGHT BLANKET
Finished Size: Approx. 30 x 30"/76 x 76cm.
Yarn: 6 skeins Cascade Yarns 128 Superwash (128 yds/117m each). Or approx. 768 yds/702m of an equivalent chunky-weight yarn.
Needles: US 10 (6mm) 24–29"/60–74cm circular needle.
