Black ajrakh hand block print pure mul cotton fabric by artisan Jabbar Khatri crafted using natural dyeing and resist block-printing techniques. This ancient craft is estimated to be around 4,500 years old. The Ajrakh artisans in India originally migrated from Sindh to the Kutch region of Gujarat and to Barmer in Rajasthan. Ajrakh is also the traditional attire of the Maldhari pastoral community of Bhuj. The process is long and detailed, involving multiple stages where each layer of colour is printed only after a resting period, allowing the cloth to absorb the dye fully. Soft and breathable mul cotton makes it ideal for creating kurtas, shirts, dresses or home decor items.

A Note on Handmade Beauty :
Each piece is hand block printed and dyed using natural colors over a slow process of 15–20 days. As a result, you may notice slight variations in color, mild pigment smudges or irregular dye patterns, these are not defects. They’re gentle marks of authenticity, proudly bearing the touch of human hands, heritage, and nature’s own palette. Wear them like a signature because no two pieces are ever alike.
