Knitting pattern for Ane Loose Top

Here you have the relaxed sister of Ane Top. A lovely, simple, classic and elegant top with a loose fit and a wonderful drape that will quickly become a favourite in your summer wardrobe. I have designed the top that I would like to wear myself over a bikini at the beach, with loose linen trousers on holiday or with my favourite jeans on a warm summer day. Ane Loose Top is knitted in Önling No 14, which gives the top a very special look. The weight and softness of the material create a beautiful, heavy drape with plenty of movement, making the top almost float around the body. The subtle sheen gives an exclusive and feminine look, making the design just as suitable for a summer party as for a relaxed day by the water. The top is designed with a light A-line shape, which provides extra width at the lower edge and a beautiful, lively drape. Across the bust, the design fits relatively close to the body with only a few centimetres / inches of ease, while gradually becoming wider towards the lower edge. This creates a relaxed and airy fit without appearing oversized or heavy. The combination of the simple silhouette, the soft Lyocell and the light A-line shape makes Ane Loose Top a summer top where comfort and elegance go hand in hand. A timeless top that you will enjoy wearing year after year.

Knit with one strand of Önling No 14 throughout.

Recommended circular needles size 3 and 3½ mm / US 2.5 and 4.

5 stitch markers

Gauge: 23 sts and 32 rows/rounds of stitch pattern and stockinette stitch on needle size 3½ mm / US 4 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches.

Procedure:
The top is worked from the bottom up. Work in the round until the armholes, after which the work is divided and front and back are completed separately.
