Baby alpaca is not fiber from cute little alpaca babies; it’s the term used for alpaca fiber between 20-23 microns (micrometers) and is one of the finest and softest alpaca grades used for hand-knitting yarn.

        Perfect match to the yarn I have. Couldn’t believe my good fortune that I came across the colour 4642; although I needed 4 extra balls of yarn to finish a project I ordered 5 just to be on the safe side. What is remarkable is that it was the same dye lot!
