ISAGER ALPACA 2 is a two-ply yarn that contains 50% wool and 50% Alpaca. It is characterized by being soft, and it is very suitable for baby clothes. Knitted alone, it is beautiful in a cardigan, but you must be aware that it is best suited for models that are not exposed to much wear. A soft yarn will never be as strong as a yarn that is spun in a harder quality and perhaps even spun more firmly. On the other hand, the yarn is very fine for scarves and when knitted together with other qualities.
Alpaca 2: needle 3 = 26 m / 30 p
Alpaca 2 + Alpaca 1: needle 3 = 24 m / 28 p
Alpaca 2 + Alpaca 2: needle 3.5 = 20 m / 26 p
Alpaca 2 + Silk Mohair: needle 4 = 18 m / 24 p

Wool should be washed by hand unless you have a washing machine with a very gentle wool program that can wash in cold water. To avoid pilling the finished knitted model, use only a little soap. Use an approved wool detergent. Keep the same temperature throughout the washing and rinsing process, and do not wash above 28 degrees. The knitted model can be lightly spun after washing. Place the model in a laundry bag or pillowcase. After spinning, lay the model out to dry on towels.
It is not necessary to wash a wool model often. Often it will be enough to hang it to air in humid weather. Cotton yarns and blended yarns with linen and bamboo can withstand higher washing temperatures, but we recommend the same washing as the wool yarn.
