This class will teach the basics of traditional Jacobean crewelwork, using a design based on historical patterns. Stitched in crewel wool, the class will introduce students to a variety of different embroidery stitches and techniques, including couching, laid work, raised work, and thread blending.
Audience: Advanced beginner to intermediate embroiderer
Sessions: Three 2-hour sessions
Materials needed: Please bring a hoop to class
- 12 inch embroidery hoop
All other materials will be supplied
Recommended but not required: Tabletop or sit-upon hoop stand

Mary Ann Klassen Dora was a great instructor! She shared techniques and tools that are hard to find in the U.S. I really enjoyed the class and hope more like it are offered!
