Sewing 111: Sewing with Knits - Lacey Kids Dress

Easy slip on dress with an extended shoulder, square line bodice and slightly gathered skirt with pockets., We will be making a style A knit dress during class.

Participants will learn the basics of sewing with knits including using a serger, sewing with a stretch stitch on your machine and how to hem with knits.

Sizes include: 1y-8y. 

This class is for adults.

Skill level of participants: advanced beginner, no previous serger experience needed, but participants need to know the basics of operating a sewing machine.

Number of sessions: two 2.5-hour classes

Materials: Please have pattern and fabric purchased prior to class.

The pattern can be purchased at homesewn.

• Size 1y - 3y     1 yard of knit fabric
• Size 4y - 8y     1 1/4 yards of knit fabric
