Sewing 109: Sewing with Knits - Kids Ringer Tee - Adult Class

Get your kid's wardrobe ready for summer weather by sewing some customized t-shirts for warmer weather! This Ringer Tee features a basic unisex t-shirt design with a ribbed neckband, cuffs & optional waistband.

This pattern is for sizes 0m-6T. A long-sleeve option is provided. Participants will learn the basics of sewing with knits including using a serger, sewing with a stretch stitch on your machine, and attaching ribbing to your creation. 

Skill level of participants -advanced beginner, no previous serger experience needed, but must know the basics of operating a sewing machine.

Number of sessions - one 3-hour session

Materials - knit fabric

• 1/2 yard for sizes 0-3M to 3-4
• 3/4 yard for sizes 4-5 and 5-6

Ribbing for neck, arm, and waistbands - 1/4 yard

• 1x1 rib knit or cotton/lycra jersey for light to medium-weight fabrics
• 2x1 rib knit for heavy-weight fabrics
