Learn basic quilting skills while you prep your custom fabric for the Homebody Quilted Jacket Class. You'll create a simple grid pattern on your fabric and gain the confidence to quilt your own custom fabric. By the end of the session, you'll have a beautiful quilted piece ready to sew into your jacket and the know-how to quilt for future projects! We'll also cover how to position your pattern on the quilted fabric before cutting.

This not a pieced quilt.  We will be creating a whole cloth quilt, one fabric on each side.

You must be registered for the Homebody Jacket class to attend this class.

Audience: Intermediate sewists

Sessions: Two 2.5-hour sessions

Materials:   Main Fabric, Lining Fabric, and Quilt batting each.  There will NOT be time during class to purchase your materials.

• 44" wide fabric
  • Jacket sizes XXS - L         2.5 yards of quilting fabric
  • Jacket sizes XL- 3XL        3 yards of quilting fabric
  • Jacket sizes 4XL - 6XL     3.5 yards of quilting fabric  
• 54" wide fabric
  • Jacket sizes XXS - M        2 yards of quilting fabric
  • Jacket sizes L - 3XL          3 yards of quilting fabric  
    
  • Jacket sizes 4XL - 6XL     3.5 yards of quilting fabric  

• Bias Binding - extra half yard will be needed to make bias binding.

Extra fabric may be needed to match stripes, plaids, or directional prints.
