Sewing 207: Sewing with Knits - The Linden Sweatshirt
This relaxed fit, raglan style shirt is stylish and comfortable to wear for those early spring weather days. Perfect for layering with a vest. This is a beginner-friendly class where you will learn the basics of sewing with knit fabrics. You will learn how to sew straight seams, attach ribbing, and use a serger.
Skill level of participants: You MUST know how to thread and operate a sewing machine and have completed our Sewing 101 class or similar experience. The majority of sewing will be completed using a serger. This is a beginner-friendly class.
Length of class: two 2.5-hour sessions

Materials:
- 2 yards: Medium weight knits with a minimum of 20% stretch such as French terry, sweatshirt fleece, sweater knits, and jersey. Available fabrics here
- 3⁄4 yard: Ribbing fabric (Participants: please ask/email if you have questions)
Fabric must be purchased, washed, and dried before first class.
Materials purchased at homesewn will receive a 15% discount.
