Make something, even something small.
Hi friends,
I took someone's advice this week and rested a bit. It was hard, and it felt really weird — but I'll keep trying.
The kids are home from their trip, and it seems as if I'd gotten way too used to the silence.
The shop's been buzzing. The campers finished their garments and they came out so good — and if you were in this week, you were lucky enough to catch them singing along to a playlist they made themselves.
I've also been holed up working on some new things for fall and the holidays. Fingers crossed. I'll show you when they're actually real.

Come By — We're Open
Corner of State & Olive in Media. Big teal windows, 14-foot pink table. Pull up a chair — they're open. Knitting and crochet circles are running this week, and there's usually something half-finished on the table that wants opinions.

Fingerless mitts, for the first cold morning
You keep a pair by the door for the dog walk you do before coffee. One skein does it. The new Malabrigo Torzal is a DK merino with a lot of twist and color — Van Gogh Sunflower has been staring at me all week.

A patchwork runner for the porch table
Straight seams, no curved piecing, done before the light goes. The new Firefly Moon cottons from Cloud9 are organic and a little moody — grab a few fat quarters and go.
