Hours (may change over time): Wednesdays: 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Saturdays: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Shopkeeper.
Job Description: As a Shopkeeper at our shop, you will be the face of our business, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing outstanding customer service. Your role will involve various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the store, including but not limited to:
- Greeting and assisting customers with their inquiries, providing product recommendations, and offering guidance on crafting projects.
- Handling cash transactions, processing payments accurately, and maintaining a balanced cash register.
- Organizing and restocking shelves with yarns, fabrics, and related accessories to ensure a visually appealing display.
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout the store, including dusting, vacuuming, and organizing merchandise.
- Receiving and unpacking inventory shipments, checking for accuracy, and updating inventory records.
- Assisting in the creation of store promotions, displays, and special events to attract customers and drive sales.
- Demonstrating a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills.
Requirements:
- Previous small business retail experience preferred, particularly in a yarn or fabric store environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
- Passion for crafting and knowledge of different types of yarns, fabrics, and crafting techniques is a plus.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, Saturdays, and holidays as required.
- Ability to make a long-term commitment to the role.
