Sewing 210: Exploration of Garment Sewing - Skirt

Sewing 210: Exploration of Garment Sewing - Skirt

Continue (or begin!) your garment sewing journey by sewing simple elastic skirt using cotton, cotton lawn, or linen.  Learn to trace and cut the pattern, sew the pieces together, and finish the seams and edges. This skirt is an excellent addition to your spring and summer wardrobe and can be worn with the top we previously made. You don't have to have taken the top class to register for this class.

Please use the sizing chart here to find your size .

This class will meet for two 2-hour sessions.

Prior experience: Completion of a beginner sewing class or Machine Mastery for Adults.

Required materials:

In order to create the best possible results for your garment you will need to pre-purchase your fabric and have it washed, dried, and ironed before the first class.

Attached is a copy of the sizing chart.  Please select the size based on your measurements and purchase the required fabric.  If you have any questions about the amount of fabric you need, anyone in the shop will be able to help you. We will be using cotton fabric for your skirt. This will make your first garment easier to sew and eliminate frustration.
