Learn how to transform your scraps into a beautiful new textile! Diana’s Patchwork Sashiko Method is a mash-up of different slow stitching and patchwork techniques. You’ll start with a stack of scraps and create a pliable piece of patchwork fabric with which to do whatever you want! Once you learn the method, you can then use your own fabric scraps in any size and shape you like. It’s great for visible mending, using in a favorite bag pattern, or as a unique feature in a quilt. The textile will not be finished in class, but attendees will learn all steps to finish on their own. Use of a sewing machine is necessary for part of the workshop.
Each student will receive a kit which includes patchwork pieces, muslin, interfacing, 2 needles and thread to be used in class.
