Lauren Tote Bag Class

A large tote bag to carry all of your things. The bag includes long straps to fit over your shoulder and an interior pocket to keep your phone and keys. In this class, you will learn how to sew French seams, box corners and create a simple pocket. 

Skill level of participants: Beginner - You must be familiar with using a sewing machine.  

Sessions: one 3-hour session

Materials: Please bring your materials to class. There will not be time to shop during class time.

Medium to heavy weight  cottons, cotton canvas for main. For lining, Light-weight to Medium-weight cotton / wovens

Fabric Requirements: 

• Main fabric & interior fabric - 1 yard 
• Accent lining - ¼ yard 
• Lining - ¾ yard 
• Webbing - 1.5 yards 

*optional materials: 

• Fusible interfacing - this pattern does not require interfacing but if you want additional stability to your bag, please bring ¾ yard light weight fusible interfacing
• Tags / labels - give your tote bag a little bit extra! We will teach you how to add the label to your handmade bag in class!
