Join us for a sewing workshop where you’ll make your very own Hinterland Dress! This class is ideal for confident beginners or those looking to refine their sewing skills. The versatile pattern offers three sleeve options and a customizable skirt length, making it a perfect addition to your wardrobe for all seasons. Whether you’re new to garment sewing or looking to expand your skills, this class is designed to guide you through the entire process from start to finish.
In this hands-on class, you’ll learn essential garment construction techniques, including:
- Pattern & Fabric Cutting
- Button Plackets & Buttonholes
- Set-in Sleeves
- Pockets
Skill Level: Confident Beginner. Must be able to operate a sewing machine independently. Pattern must be purchased and ready to cut prior to the first session. Some homework may be required to complete your garment.
Sessions: Four 2-hour sessions
Materials: In order to finish this project in the allotted time, please come to class with pattern and fabric purchased. Fabric should be washed, dried, and ironed prior to the first class.
Pattern available for purchase at homesewn
This pattern is designed for medium weight woven fabrics such as linen, cotton, chambray, denim, etc.
- 3.5-4.5+ Yards of Fabric (will vary depending on sleeve/skirt length)
- 0.5 yard - 1.25 yards of lightweight fusible interfacing
- 4-11 buttons, size 1/2"-5/8"
