Do you want to learn to Fair Isle??

Fair-Isle knitting is the art of knitting with more than one color in a row to make knitted color designs in your projects. It is a useful intermediate color-knitting technique that uses 2 colors per round and the yarn is carried behind the work. 

Class Length: This 2 hour hands-on class will teach you to read a colorwork chart and 2 color stranded color work while knitting in the round.

Skill Level: The skills needed for this class are casting on, knitting and purling in the round and binding off. 

Materials Needed (not included, but class supplies are 15% off at homsewn):

Needles
US 6 (4 mm), 16”(40 cm) or 24"(60cm) long circular needle 

Yarn: 1 Skein of Worsted Weight in 3 colors (must be at least 150yards each) Malabrigo Rios is a great choice!

Experience: Advanced Beginner - Must be comfortable knitting in the round.

Stitch marker and darning needle

Come to class with the following completed: With CC1, CO 144 sts onto US 6 (4mm)needles using the long tail cast on or the German twisted cast-on method. Join to work in the round, place stitch marker and knit the following 2 rows 6 times (you will have a total of 12 rows on your needles. 

Row 1: Knit all stitches

Row 2: K1, P1 

Note: These 12 rows are the first 12 rows shown on the colorwork chart.
